Sinde Rubiner

Sinde was born in St. Paul, Minnesota. She studied classical music playing woodwinds at St. Cloud State University, performing with several orchestras and chamber ensembles.

After relocating to Arizona in 1979, Sinde began her career in the import business as co-owner of Four Winds, based in Tucson and Marrakech, Morocco. She traveled extensively enjoying a diversity of music and cultures.

In recent years, Sinde has been playing in Tucson with Afro-Brazilian ensemble Batucaxé and West African music with local groups. Along with business partner Solange Monette she created Rhythm for Change LLC, bringing recreational drumming to the community for fun and wellness. In addition to parties and special events, recent sessions have included work wih Parkinson's patients and the elderly.
